About Us

The Georgian Small and Medium Enterprises Association (GSMEA) is a non-governmental and non-profit organization founded on September 10, 2010. The association is focused on strengthening small and medium-sized businesses in Georgia. GSMEA serves as a connecting bridge between stakeholders in the private sector and works to create a better business environment.

What We Do

The Georgian Small and Medium Enterprises Association (GSMEA) supports local businesses through advocacy, representation, mediation, and strategic partnerships. The Association offers businesses a platform through which they can express their needs, access essential resources, and strengthen relationships with both local and international organizations.

GSMEA also promotes the development of export-import processes in Georgia, provides members with up-to-date information on legislative changes, and ensures that their interests are represented in relevant policy-making processes.

Mikheil Chelidze
President - Georgian Small and Medium Enterprises Association
Managing Partner - SME Finance

 

Since 2011, Mikheil Chelidze has been the Co-founder of the audit and accounting company Fino. Since 2024, he has also served as the Managing Partner of SME Finance.

Mikheil holds an MBA and is a graduate of ESM – School of Business. He has also completed various professional courses and trainings in tax legislation and management. His career includes extensive experience as a Financial Manager and Tax Auditor in several private sector institutions.

On behalf of GSMEA, Mikheil is actively involved in numerous public-private dialogue platforms and advisory bodies.

Mikheil is also actively engaged in international collaboration, regularly participating in workshops, trainings, and high-level meetings held both in Georgia and abroad. His work includes cooperation with organizations such as GIZ, USAID/G4G, CIPE, SIDA, SABIT, OECD, and East Invest.

 

Nikoloz Gurgenidze
Vice President - Georgian Small and Medium Enterprises Association
Managing Partner - Inventer

 

Since 2014, Nikoloz Gurgenidze has been actively involved in inventory and real estate/movable property valuation services. 
Since 2022, he has been the Founder and Managing Partner of the inventory and valuation company - Inventer. 
Nikoloz has over 10 years of experience in managerial positions and has successfully completed more than 500 projects.

Nino Zambakhidze
Member of the Supervisory Board - Georgian Small and Medium Enterprises Association
President - Georgian Farmers' Association

Since 2012, Nino Zambakhidze has been the Founder and Chairperson of the Georgian Farmers' Association. She holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from Grenoble Ecole de Management (France) and a Diploma in Business Management and Administration from Cambridge International College.

Nino is the first female leader in the region to serve as an honorary coordinator of the organization Invest in the Future, operating under the patronage of Hillary Clinton.
Nino Zambakhidze has been named a Young Global Leader of the Year by the World Economic Forum, and was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year by the Grenoble School of Economics. She is also the recipient of the "Woman Entrepreneur of the Year" honorary award at the National Business Awards – Mercury 2011.

Membership of the GSMEA Association

Membership Policy

GSMEA offers potential members two types of membership packages: 

Associate Member - annual membership fee of - 150 GEL
Full Member - annual membership fee of - 1 700 GEL

 Access to Business Information

Includes the dissemination of information about events in the business sector, such as local and international business forums, conferences, workshops, competitions, and exhibitions.

 Access to Legislative Updates

Refers to providing information on legislative changes related to business, including laws, decrees, resolutions, regulations, and standards.

 Invitation to the Assocciation's Public Lectures

Involves organizing joint free public lectures with the relevant regulatory and executive bodies to raise business awareness when new legislative regulations are introduced by the government.

 Receiving a Letter of Recommendation

Refers to the issuance of a recommendation letter by the Association for international and local organizations on behalf of the member.

Refers to the issuance of an official membership certificate signed by the President of the Association.

Involves assisting in finding potential buyers for the member’s products and services in both local and international markets.

 Assistance in Finding Partners

Includes helping to identify potential deal partners, equity partners, or investors.

Refers to assisting members in acquiring the necessary information and support for patenting their products.

Involves helping to develop barter (exchange) proposals and assisting in identifying potential counterparties.
